UN World Meditation Day – The Light Of Meditation
Shining the Light on Meditation
To celebrate United Nations World Meditation Day on Sunday 21 December – and also the Winter Solstice – the Brahma Kumaris UK are hosting Meditation events in over 21 locations, on the theme The Light of Meditation. This event is a part of these series of events.
Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University UK teaches Raja Yoga Meditation as a way of experiencing peace of mind and a positive approach to life. The University provides opportunities for people from all religious and cultural backgrounds to explore their own spirituality and learn skills of reflection and meditation derived from Raja Yoga, which will help develop inner calm, clear thinking and personal well-being.
Around the UK and around the world, thousands will meditate together for peace, healing, and unity. Let us all join this candlelight meditation and send vibrations of peace and light to the world. Our peaceful thoughts matter.
In times of global challenges, such as armed conflicts, climate crises, and rapid technological advancements, meditation offers a powerful means to cultivate peace, unity, and compassion. World Meditation Day reminds us of the importance of nurturing human consciousness to address these issues and create harmony within ourselves and our communities. By fostering inner peace through meditation, individuals contribute to building a more resilient and sustainable world for current and future generations.
